Do It Yourself (Changing the iPhone Screen)

  1) Remove two screws from the bottom of your iPhone and pop the sim card tray out of phone. Then using a combination of the case prying tool and suction cup to remove the face (screen) from the phone. You should remove the glass panel that sits inside the metal frame along with the LCD screen and the internal bracket that hold the screen in its place.

2) Carefully unhook cables, be careful cause you have to flip up the white clamp that holds the cable in its place and then gently slide it out. Set the back of the phone aside for now.

3) Remove all screws on the bracket that hold the glass digitizer & the LCD screen together.

4) Next thing is to replace the actual LCD screen. Screen is actually held to the bracket with double-sided tape, so just have to separate the screen from the bracket and then just pop it off. Remove the adhesive backing from the new screen and attach it to the bracket. Now you can reattach to the digitizer bracket.

6) Next up, change the glass and then apply the adhesive template to the frame you which you have to clean first. Once this is in place, remove the backing and press the new digitizer firmly to its place.

Reassemble back together the way you took them apart. Put your sim card back in and you are good to go!
